Share Your History!
What is a Community Archive?
With every passing year, another story is forgotten, another photograph disappears into the dust of time. The Community Archive is our new effort to preserve our region's fragile history by creating a community collection. Our community collection will consist of two parts:
1. Collection Events
Watch this short video for a demonstration of a collection event.
2. The Online Archive
Why is this important?
We are the only ones who can share our story. It's not something that we can find online, on television, or in the world's most prestigious libraries. Every box of photographs sitting in some attic, every memory passed down from generations past, every historic object is necessary to answer the questions: "Who are we? What unites us? What makes us unique?"
How can I get involved?
A community collection is free to use. It's about spreading knowledge and sharing stories with as many people as possible.
